Menstruation Mission

M2 is a non-profit campaign that aims to provide menstrual hygiene products to homeless women and trans people in Ontario. Help WITM give back to the community and raise awareness about this overlooked issue by donating!

What is Period Poverty?

Period poverty describes the struggle many low-income women and girls face while trying to afford menstrual products. The term also refers to the increased economic vulnerability women and girls face due to the financial burden of menstrual supplies. These include menstrual pads, tampons, and related costs such as pain medication and underwear.

Why is this important?

The right to health women and girls may experience negative health consequences when they lack the supplies and facilities to manage their menstrual health. Menstruation stigma can also prevent women and girls from seeking treatment for menstruation-related disorders or pain, adversely affecting their enjoyment of the highest attainable standard and their overall enjoyment of life, well-being, and health.
