WeDesignTech
Hackathon
2023
-
The WeDesignTech Hackathon is a unique opportunity for students to showcase their problem-solving, creativity, analytics, and innovation skills.
This hackathon is beginner-friendly, and you do not require any prior technical or coding experience. Students will be given a challenge or theme for which they must create a prototype using design software tools to demonstrate their solution, while pitching their solution through a business point-of-view.
These solutions will then be presented to a panel of judges in the form of a business proposal. To assist in the competition, we will also be offering you with a variety of opportunities to gain the technical skills required for the solution prototyping.
-
You can apply either as:
TEAM - You already have an existing team consisting of 4 members.
TEAM - You would like to work in a team but do not have members. Not a problem! We can assign you to a team based on a matching criteria.
Hackathon Process:
WITM will send a delegate manual to prepare delegates on what to expect, the tools available, and guidelines on creating their proposal.
Delegates will receive the challenge/theme on Day 1 of the competition and will have exactly 36 hours to create and demonstrate their solutions!
On Day 3, teams will present their prototype and solution to a panel of judges.
-
WeDesignTech Hackathon is open to all TMU students, from any program and is gender-inclusive.
This hackathon is beginner-friendly and you do not require any prior technical or coding experience.
