Who we are

Women in Information Technology Management (WITM) was founded in 2007 to raise awareness of the striking gender gap that exists in the Business Technology Management (BTM) program and consequently, the IT industry and corporate culture.

As of 2016, WITM has re-branded from within to underpin the mandate across the Ted Rogers School of Management and Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). In late 2019, WITM was officially adopted as an affiliate group of the Toronto Metropolitan Students’ Union (TMSU) to further develop and support students within the university community.

In essence, academic, professional, and social events are organized to enhance diversity and inclusion in the Business and IT industry as our top priority.
